Get a crash course in the Reckless approach to improv!
Are you in town for only a short time? Or a New Yorker who wants to go elbows deep in improv? Maybe you can't think of a better use for vacation days than getting sweaty and silly with a bunch of strangers. In only 3 days you could complete the 8-week Reckless Intensive and dive head-first into NYC's newest improv community!
This is a course designed to help performers build upon prior improv training. It sets out to create a bedrock foundation for you as a self reliant, team-playing, fun-chasing improviser. This is for improvisers that want a refreshing new slant on the way they play, or for someone wanting to return to the basics. Create tension, take action, and explore characterization through wants, and spine and choice. Learn to advance and expand your ideas and weave them into rewarding scenes and narratives, with pronounced games.
Our students at this level have significant improv experience: 3 Levels at any NY improv theatre, classes at Second City or Groundlings, performing at IO.
